Privacy & Cookie Policy

How we handle your data at Noteid, in plain language.

At Noteid, we respect your privacy to the absolute maximum. You don't need an account to start using most of our exercises, and your progress data is stored locally in your browser. This document explains, without jargon, what data we handle and why.

Last updated: July 2026.

Data in your browser

Your progress, preferences, language, and settings are saved in your browser's local storage (localStorage). This data never leaves your device unless you log in to sync it. You can clear it at any time by clearing your browser data.

Account data collection

We only collect your first name, last name, and profile avatar settings if you decide to log in. Authentication and optional sync are handled through Supabase, which stores this data securely. We do not share your data with third parties or use advertising tracking cookies.

Microphone & audio processing

Exercises using the microphone process audio locally on your device using the Web Audio API. No voice or instrument recordings are ever sent to our servers, and the microphone is only activated when you explicitly allow it.

Usage analytics

If you accept cookies, we use Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights to understand, in an aggregated and anonymous way, how the app is used and how to improve its performance. These tools are not activated until you give your consent.

Cookies & consent

We do not use advertising cookies. We only store a small consent flag in your browser to remember your choice about usage analytics. If you decline, the app keeps working with all of its essential features.

Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, and delete your data. Since most information is stored locally, you can control it directly by clearing your browser; for account data, contact us and we will delete it.

Contact

If you have any questions about this policy or wish to exercise your rights, reach out through our contact page and we will respond as soon as possible.
